Deep Learning Engineer

For our client we are looking for a Senior Engineer in Vision-Language-Action and Behaviour Learning to join a cutting-edge humanoid robotics project (Europe-based, relocation is covered). The team works on end-to-end multimodal perception, language-conditioned control, behaviour cloning and RL-driven policy learning for real-world manipulation.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop VLA models that connect perception, language and low-level control
• Build behaviour-learning pipelines (IL, RL, diffusion-based policies, video-to-action)
• Work with multimodal datasets (vision, proprioception, language)
• Train and deploy policies on real humanoid hardware
• Collaborate with research and robotics engineering teams on embodied planning.

Requirements:

• Strong background in deep learning (PyTorch or JAX), multimodal ML
• Experience with RL or imitation learning
• Hands-on robotics experience: 3D perception, control, sim2real
• Track record in top-tier labs or industry (robotics, embodied AI, manipulation, VLMs).
