Chief Accountant

Job Title: Chief Accountant

Location: Kokand, Uzbekistan

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with Uzbekistan NAS standards
• Ensure full compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
• Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, Profit Tax, Social Tax, and Personal Income Tax (PIT)
• Manage fixed assets, including depreciation (as per NAS) and revaluation processes
• Coordinate effectively with internal and external auditors during audits
• Submit statutory reports to tax authorities and other government bodies within deadlines
• Maintain proper documentation to support inspections by regulatory authorities
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes
• Monitor cash flow, banking transactions, and ensure compliance with financial procedures
• Handle loan accounting, including interest calculations and timely loan closures
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to prevent errors and fraud
• Track, evaluate, and apply applicable tax benefits and incentives
• Ensure compliance related to import payments and export proceeds
• Support management with financial analysis, reporting, and MIS preparation
