Art & Craft Instructor (Handy Hand Course) – Girls' Summer Camp

Role Overview:

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and patient Art & Craft Instructor for our girls-only summer camp. The ideal candidate will lead our "Handy Hand" course, inspiring students aged 7–15 to explore their creativity through various DIY projects, textile arts, and mixed media.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hands-on workshops using materials such as felt, embroidery floss, and fabrics.

• Teach basic sewing skills (embroidery) and safe tool handling (needles, fabric scissors).

• Guide students in textile design, including painting and decorating canvas tote bags.

• Oversee projects involving scrapbooking, watercolor/acrylic painting, and natural elements like pressed flowers.

• Ensure a safe environment, specifically supervising the use of glue guns and sharp tools for younger age groups.

• Help each student build a personal creative portfolio throughout the program.

Requirements:

• Expertise in Crafting: Proven experience in handicrafts (sewing, felt work, embroidery, or DIY decor).

• Teaching Experience: Ability to manage and engage children in two age groups: Juniors (7–9) and Seniors (10–15).

• Artistic Skills: Proficiency in working with different mediums (acrylics, fabric markers, beads/ribbons).

• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to motivate young girls.

• Language: Fluency in English (Russian and Uzbek +plus).

Provided Materials:

The instructor will have access to a fully stocked kit, including:

• Felt sheets, embroidery threads, and beads.

• Canvas bags and fabric paints.

• Watercolors, acrylics, and botanical elements for pressing.

• All necessary safety-compliant tools and stationery.
