Lead Generalist Game Designer

We are looking for a Lead Generalist Game Designer to join the development of an unannounced AAA multiplayer-shooter.

We care deeply about this project and believe in what we are building. We are looking for someone who can share our ambition to create the best possible game and who wants to be an active part of shaping it.

This role will focus on designing and owning core gameplay systems and features that strengthen the game’s central loops, support the player fantasy, and create a cohesive and immersive experience. The ideal candidate combines strong systems-thinking skills with hands-on design expertise, clear communication, and the ability to guide features from early concept through implementation, iteration, and final quality.

• Lead the design of core gameplay systems, mechanics, and features across the project.
• Translate the game vision and player fantasy into clear, engaging, and interconnected gameplay experiences.
• Own major features throughout the full development cycle, from concept and prototyping to implementation, balancing, polish, and release.
• Create clear and actionable design documentation, including feature specifications, gameplay flows, system rules, tuning requirements, edge cases, and implementation guidance.
• Work closely with engineering, art, animation, audio, narrative, UI/UX, production, and other design disciplines.
• Review implementations and provide clear feedback to ensure features meet gameplay, immersion, usability, and quality goals.
• Identify design risks, dependencies, and opportunities early in development.
• Use prototypes, playtests, telemetry, player feedback, and team feedback to evaluate and improve features.
• Mentor and support other designers through reviews, feedback, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Help improve design processes, documentation standards, feature ownership practices, and cross-disciplinary communication.
