Logistics & Customs Clearance Specialist

KT&G Kazakhstan is currently looking for a Logistics & Customs Clearance(Foreign Economy Activity) Specialist. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the seamless execution of import and export operations, customs clearance, and international logistics activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing logistics processes, and maintaining the uninterrupted flow of raw materials, production equipment, and finished goods.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import and export operations, including international transportation and customs clearance
• Ensure compliance with customs legislation, foreign trade regulations, and internal company policies
• Manage relationships with customs authorities, customs brokers, freight forwarders, certification bodies, and other logistics service providers
• Maintain import/export documentation and support logistics operations through SAP
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations and timely delivery of goods
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics processes, costs, and operational efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics, import/export operations, or customs clearance
• Good knowledge of the customs legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international trade procedures
• Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, transportation companies, and government authorities
• Experience in supply chain, logistics, international trade, or B2B export operations within a manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or distribution environment will be considered an advantage.
• Experience with SAP and/or Oracle ERP is an advantage
• Advanced (C1) English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively with international stakeholders and manage documentation in English
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail, responsibility, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
