Senior DevOps Engineer

AdTech Holding is an Innovation hub based in Cyprus, which creates vibrant startup ecosystems and technologies for AdTech & MarTech projects.

Development partner of AdTech Holding is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for one of our team. We process large volumes of data: daily, our storage receives 40 terabytes, which represents more than 20 billion events every day.

Team stack

• We work only with Bare Metal and we don't have Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and alerting. Setting up and supporting monitoring, alerting, and logging systems for the data warehouse team. Examples include configuring Prometheus and Grafana, creating dashboards, and writing Python scripts for monitoring.
• Server and database support. Configuring and maintaining servers, databases, DNS, and other tools within the team's perimeter. Examples include updating Vertica, Airflow, Tableau; managing DNS records.
• Automation. Automating software installation and updates. Examples include creating Ansible playbooks for task automation.
• Collaboration. Ensuring development and testing processes in partnership with DE and QA teams. Examples include implementing CI/CD pipelines based on TeamCity.
• Migration and synchronization. Supporting database schema migration and synchronization processes. Examples include configuring Debezium for CDC.
• Responding to incidents. Promptly responding to incidents, ensuring high availability and system reliability.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Knowledge and experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
• Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (TeamCity).
• Experience in Database administration (Vertica, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with CDC tools (Debezium).
• Experience in administering BI systems (Tableau).
• Ability to work in a team, collaborate closely with other departments (DE, QA, Ops), strong communication skills.
• Project management skills, task decomposition, proactiveness.
• English language proficiency for technical documentation reading.
