Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Finance & Controlling Consultant to join a large-scale SAP S/4HANA Transformation initiative.

In this role, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) processes, ensuring efficient, reliable, and sustainable solutions aligned with business requirements.

You will play a key role in translating business needs into functional solutions, configuring SAP FI/CO applications, and ensuring seamless integration across the SAP landscape.

The position combines strong SAP Finance & Controlling expertise with functional consulting, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration, offering the opportunity to contribute to a complex enterprise transformation program.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and continuously improve SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) processes.

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into suitable functional solutions.

• Configure and customize SAP FI/CO applications to support finance and controlling operations.

• Provide functional architecture and process recommendations for SAP Finance-related solutions.

• Design and implement finance-related processes, interfaces, and data models based on business requirements.

• Ensure integration between SAP FI/CO and other SAP modules, applications, and external systems.

• Support the implementation of new business requirements and the continuous improvement of existing SAP solutions.

• Collaborate with business departments, product teams, technical specialists, and external implementation partners.

• Analyse production incidents, identify root causes, and provide sustainable functional solutions.

• Create and maintain functional documentation and contribute to knowledge transfer activities within the team.

Required Qualifications:

• Several years of professional experience as an SAP FI/CO Consultant, ideally at senior level.

• Strong knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) processes and functionalities.

• Hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO configuration, customizing, and implementation of finance-related business processes.

• Proven ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and sustainable SAP solutions.

• Good understanding of SAP Finance architecture, integration concepts, and cross-module dependencies.

• Knowledge of SAP integration topics, interfaces, and data exchange between SAP and other systems.

• Experience working in engineering, consulting, or technology environments, ideally within agile product teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external implementation partners.

• A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work.

• A degree in IT, Business Administration, Finance, or a related technical field, or equivalent education and professional experience.

• Very good English communication skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations or transformation projects.

• Knowledge of cross-functional SAP processes and integration with SD, MM, or other relevant modules.

• Experience working in large-scale SAP transformation projects or international ERP environments.

• Experience working in agile product teams and cross-functional delivery environments.

• German language skills.
