After School Activities coordinator

Kazakhstan International School Astana is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and well-organized After School Coordinator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for independently planning, developing, organizing, and implementing after-school programs that provide students with meaningful educational, recreational, and developmental experiences beyond regular school hours.

We are looking for a proactive person who enjoys working with children, can independently manage daily activities, and is passionate about creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently plan, develop, and coordinate the school's after-school programs.
• Design and organize a variety of educational, recreational, creative, and sports activities for students of different age groups.
• Prepare activity schedules and ensure the smooth daily implementation of programs.
• Create engaging activities that support students' creativity, social skills, personal development, and learning.
• Ensure that all activities are age-appropriate and aligned with the school's educational philosophy and standards.
• Supervise students during after-school activities and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding program activities, student participation, and relevant concerns.
• Collaborate with teachers, school administration, and external organizations to enrich the after-school program.
• Manage activity materials, equipment, resources, and the program budget where applicable.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, child safeguarding requirements, and health and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Pedagogy, Psychology, or a related field.

• Previous experience working with children in a school, educational institution, childcare center, or extracurricular program.

• Experience in planning and organizing educational, recreational, or developmental activities.

• Good command of three languages: Kazakh, Russian, and English (all three languages are required).

• Ability to independently plan, organize, and manage multiple activities and daily responsibilities.

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Creativity, initiative, flexibility, and a genuine interest in children's development.

• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in all three languages.
