Middle Backend Developer (Node.Js)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using MongoDB, Supabase
• Develop and maintain Edge functions APIs
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Optimize and tune database performance to ensure high performance and responsiveness.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the application and its data.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the backend architecture.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise, providing timely resolutions.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience working with backend Node.js / Express.js / NestJS
• Proven experience as a backend developer, specifically with MongoDB, Supabase, PostgreSQL.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with SQL and database schema design.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Understanding of server-side security (RLS) and data protection measures.
• Experience with cloud services and deployment strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work effectively under schedule pressure to fix bugs, review code, write, test new code, and diagnose production issues.

• Experience working with React, React Native

Backend:

• Node.js / Express.js / NestJS — scalable backend services
• MongoDB — our primary database (strong experience required)
• ORM/DB tools: Mongoose, Prisma (optional for other DBs)
• Auth & Security: Firebase Auth, JWT, OAuth, Keychain, etc.
• API Development: REST & GraphQL
• Real-time: WebSockets, Firebase Realtime DB

DevOps & Others:

• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Vercel, Docker
• Monitoring: Sentry, Appsflyer, LogRocket
• Testing: Jest, Playwright / Cypress
• Cloud: Firebase, Supabase, AWS basics
