Senior Data Engineer

Taonga Island Adventure is an immersive exploration and adventure game set on a colorful tropical archipelago.

What begins as a casual farming experience gradually evolves into a rich, multi-layered adventure. Players discover increasing depth through travel, story-driven quests, strategic battles, engaging mini-games, competitive events, and much more — transforming the game into a captivating midcore adventure with sophisticated mechanics.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Marketing Data and Analytics team.

You will create a reliable, scalable and high-performance data infrastructure that provides seamless access to data for reporting, deep analytics, insights, and ML applications in digital marketing. You will work with large-scale data from advertising platforms, game events data warehouses and campaign performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines in AWS Cloud.
• Design efficient ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Step Functions and IaC.
• Work with APIs, external databases, and data warehouses to ingest and process data.
• Develop data models for marketing attribution, traffic segmentation, and performance analytics.
• Optimize data storage and query performance for cost efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Analytics teams to deliver actionable insights.
• Implement best practices for data governance, quality, and compliance.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and marketing analytics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in AWS (RDS, Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB) and Python.
• Proficient in SQL and optimizing query performance.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data orchestration tools (AWS Step Functions, Airflow, dbt).
• Solid understanding of data modelling, warehousing, and marketing analytics concepts.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English (C1 level).
